George Needham co-founded Needham & Company in 1985, a leading investment banking firm specializing in emerging growth companies. He was formerly a managing director of The First Boston Corporation, where he established its Business Development and Technology Groups during his 15-year career. Prior to this he was a portfolio manager in the Investment Advisory Division at Bankers Trust Company. He was a First Lieutenant in the United States Army and served as Company Commander of the 503rd Transportation Company in Heidelberg, West Germany. He is a graduate of Bucknell University and the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

John Prior joined Needham & Company in 1996. Mr. Prior currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Needham & Company, LLC. Formerly, Mr. Prior was the co-head of Investment Banking for the firm and directed all financial advisory activities from 1996 through 2004. He came to Needham from Lehman Brothers, where he was a managing director in the Investment Banking Division. Previously, Mr. Prior had been a general partner of Scully Brothers & Foss, an investment bank which provided financial advisory services to a number of well-known clients including IBM, Xerox, General Motors, Hughes Electronics, and EDS. He began his career at Salomon Brothers, where he was a banking officer in the Communications and Technology Group. He is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Business School.

Thomas Shanahan joined Needham & Company in 2002. He serves as the Head of West Coast Investment Banking and also is a General Partner of Needham Asset Management, LLC. Tom is the former CFO and co-founder of Agile Software Corporation (now acquired by Oracle). Additional Silicon Valley experience includes CFO assignments at SBT Corporation (acquired by Computer Associates), Digital Generation Systems and Sherpa Corporation. He has 14 years of investment banking experience at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette and The First Boston Corporation. Tom served as an officer in the First Infantry Division in Vietnam. He is a graduate of Stanford University (Phi Beta Kappa) and the Harvard Business School (Baker Scholar).

Jack Iacovone joined Needham & Company in 1995. Since joining Needham, Jack has assisted emerging growth companies complete over 50 equity financings and advisory transactions in a variety of industries. He has also sponsored over 25 principal investments made through the firm's Private Equity Partnership, Needham Capital Partners, and has sat on the board of directors or been an observer to the board of directors of six companies. Jack previously worked within the financial services line of business at KPMG Peat Marwick LLP. He received a BS in Accounting from Pace University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York.

Oliver Gratry joined Needham & Company in 2002. He is currently focused on the non-solar, clean-tech sector and also covers West Coast investments for Needham Capital Partners. Prior to joining Needham, Oliver worked at Morgan Stanley, Agile Software, and KeyCorp. He holds a BS in Biology from Yale University and an MBA from Stanford.

Glen Albanese joined Needham & Company in 1996. Mr. Albanese serves as the Chief Financial Officer for The Needham Group, Inc. and its subsidiaries. Mr. Albanese also sits on the Board of the Needham September 11th Scholarship Fund. Mr. Albanese joined Needham from Mitchell Hutchins Asset Management where he worked in their mutual funds division. Prior to that, he was a senior accountant with Raines & Fischer CPAs. He is a graduate of Pace University and is a Certified Public Accountant in New York State.
